COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Micro Budget Feature Screenwriting Workshop is a course intended to provide guidance, structure and craft to creating and designing a feature film within the context of a modest production budget.

The Micro Budget Script Workshop combines a high level structural approach to constructing a feature film script with a focus on the craftsmanship required to hone scene and character development.  Our goal is to help you maximize drama, energy, momentum and character richness that your actors can successfully bring to life.   For us, it not just about crafting clever words – it is about designing powerful staged events, caught on camera. The goal is to help you construct a great film that can move into production with modest resources.    The course will include structure design, scene construction, dialogue & character refinement and text readings.

We invite aspiring writers and film-making teams to join our workshop and develop the foundation of your next feature film.

INSTRUCTOR BIOS:

Stuart Clarfield is a director, producer and writer with 25 years of experience creating drama and documentaries for TV, feature film and interactive.   Stuart is currently Executive Producer at The Mission Media Company in Toronto, overseeing dramatic, documentary and interactive projects.
