‘Acting for the Screen’ is an intense, process-focused workshop for actors that will cover the full process of preparing, rehearsing and performing on camera, including; scene break-down, actor and cast preparation, rehearsal, on-camera presence, performance and director interaction. In the 8 session workshop, participants will cover character prep, monologues, dramatic scenes, and quick study work with newly written material.
Valerie Buhagiar is a both celebrated actor and filmmaker. Valerie first gained international recognition playing leading roles in Bruce McDonald’s feature films “Highway 61” and “Roadkill” and has had many leading and award-winning roles in film, theatre and television. Valerie is a bold and skilled director, with over twenty credits in theatre, film and television. She recently completed shooting her first feature film and is busy prepping new projects in theatre and film. We are very pleased to work with her to present this workshop to our Toronto community of actors and artists. She will be assisted in specific classes by actress, playwright and director Liza Balkan.

Saturdays 1 pm to 4:30 pm & Wednesdays 6:30 pm to 10 pm
Location: St. Stephen’s (Rehearsal Hall) – 365 College St. W.
Cost: $295 + HST (8 sessions @ 3 hours per session + preparation)
